Mara's Christening

Today was Mara Stover's Christening and it was wonderful. I am a little partial because I am Mara's Godmother. She is beautiful. Mara was perfect today during church and the after party. I was fortunate to have made a lot of the food for the church congregation and the party preceding the Christening. I served three nice trays at the church that were made of handmade apple and cherry danish, blueberry, coffee cake, pecan sticky and chocolate chip mini muffins and snicker doodle, chewy macaroon, peanut butter blossom, chocolate Florentine and chocolate chip cookies. The party following the Christening was held at my mothers house and we had a lot of great foods. I made two appetizers, bruschetta and toasty shrimp cups. I also made three different rolls for the sandwiches. I chose to make a watermelon basket for the fruit and for dessert fresh fruit tarts along with another cookie and muffin tray. I was very happy with how everything turned out today but Mara was definitely the best part.
